Having been born in the cultural richness of the city of Guayaquil, Ileana Miranda grew up watching the city's folklore through stories visually told by women.
In view of the country's limitations in the shoe industry, the designer created a brand under her name, as a timeless expression of individuality.
With a background in interior design, Ile Miranda's approach on fashion tells a story of rebellious women in the search of empowerment, with high architectural lines and a deep sense of historic relevance.
And with more than 12 years in the industry, what started as a deconstruction of possibilities, currently is the fabrication of the new luxury; with thorough attention to details and over-handcrafting.
In the search of an identity far from any influence invented by society, Ile Miranda is created to reconnect women with their feminine power.
The designer mentions that “shoes visually communicate a lot”, for which they are the mobile to give prominence to women and provide them with a source of own voice. And even though the brand's commercial purpose is the fabrication of footwear, its DNA goes much further than the sole elaboration of a product.
The philosophy of questioning the limitations, that empirically started the company 15 years ago, is still used nowadays. The shoes are made to become the means of modifying ones personality and attitude, and they are created as a service and contribution to women.
The philosophy behind the shoes is considered an extension of Ile Miranda's life, and they are the way of telling a personal story; a form of empowerment and balance.
